OBC home loans, car loans get cheaper

Besides, the bank has also announced loyalty benefit of 0.25 per cent on the card rate for existing customers with satisfactory track record.
“We have not only reduced interest rates for new customers but have decided to reward our esteemed customers by offering concessions on such loans, OBC chairman and managing director SL Bansal said.
Loyalty benefit would be available to customers who have good repayment tack record for past 24 months. Depositors with annual saving account balance of Rs 1 lakh for a year will also get benefit of lower interest rate on loans.

The Walthamstow MP, Stella Creasy, has tabled an amendment to the Financial Services bill calling for the new financial regulator to be given the power to set a maximum amount lenders can charge for credit, in a move she says will offer greater protection to consumers even if it is never used.

The goal is to reel in droves of HSBC customers who might want to shop around when First Niagara completes its takeover of 195 HSBC branches in New York state.

Vincent LoCastro, 48, of 203 Spartan Drive, Bethel Park, was charged with two counts of corrupt organizations, two counts of criminal conspiracy, 18 counts of theft by unlawful taking, and 18 counts of defrauding secured creditors. If convicted on all charges, LoCastro could face up to 206 years in prison.

The board and McClendon have agreed to negotiate an early termination of the well-investment program that was scheduled to expire at the end of 2015, Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake said in a statement today.
Although the company was âgenerally awareâ that McClendon had used his interests in company-operated wells as collateral for personal loans, it didnât review or approve any of the individual transactions, according to the statement.
